Asheville Chiropractor | Your First Visit
On the first day that a patient visits our office, expect to spend about 45 minutes to an hour with us. We welcome each new patient to our practice with a short office tour. Next, we show them into our Report Room, where new patients can sit, sip coffee or tea, and relax as they fill out some orientation paperwork which will help introduce us to the patients and their individual situations. (The paperwork can also be downloaded and filled out prior to coming in, just click here if you are ready.) Upon completion of the admitting forms, the patient will watch a very short video which further familiarizes the patient with chiropractic.
Once the video has ended, the patient is escorted into our Examination Room where the doctor will perform a postural evaluation, learn about the patient’s chief complaint (if any), palpate key areas of the spine that need attention, perform a chiropractic neurological and physical examination, take x-rays (if necessary), answer any questions, and if appropriately necessary, and if the patient is in excessive pain, we will give an adjustment.
To conclude the first visit, the patient returns to the front desk to check out and schedule the follow-up Report of Findings visit.
