Your Second Visit to Our Asheville Practice

On your report visit we explain what we found and how we may be able to help you.At the Report of Findings visit, expect to spend about 30 minutes at the office. We begin Day Two back in the Report Room where patients view a second informational video - Making Choices. Upon its conclusion, the doctor reviews your x-rays with you and identifies any health issues that may need to be addressed. The doctor will outline a customized treatment plan (if necessary), expected results and anticipated treatment timelines. The report is concluded with any questions you may have about your current health condition.

After your report you will receive your first adjustmentOnce you and the doctor have agreed upon a treatment plan, you will be adjusted. We typically do not adjust until your second visit. Often, some people will experience “improvement reactions”, which are the body’s natural healing responses.

Most are happy to experience more energy, improved range of motion, more restful sleep and overall better functioning and feeling better. In very rare occasions there is an increase in symptoms, but usually that is very short lived and can be very manageable with repeated ice applications.

Another common reaction is muscle soreness, very similar to workout soreness (remember that some joints and muscles have been ‘stuck’ out of position putting stress on body parts, so it only makes sense that it should happen – it means your body is already responding to treatment ). We prefer to follow the first adjustment with ice, which reduces soreness and expedites the healing process.
